A model and classically trained pianist, she made the mistake of marrying into the Kennedys in 1958, which is like marrying into the Mafia but with worse driving. She stood by Ted through Chappaquiddick, the drinking and a highly competitive infidelity schedule, got out in 1983 and became an advocate for addiction recovery, which she had earned the hard way. She died in her sleep, outliving her ex-husband by sixteen years and the Kennedy curse entirely.
