Nobody drafted a five-foot-ten quarterback out of USC, so he wrote Vince Lombardi a letter asking for a tryout, became a safety and won five NFL championships, including the first two Super Bowls. His interception in Super Bowl I broke the Chiefs, and his tackles broke most of the receivers in the league. Dementia took the last of him at 83 in his hometown of Washington.
